Distinguish Ace-to-five from deuce-to-seven
In 2-7 lowball, Aces are normally high, and straights and flushes count against the hand. An unsuited 7-5-4-3-2 is best. A 6-5-4-3-2 is a straight, not a desirable low hand.
The three-draw sequence
Players hold five cards. After the first betting round there are up to three draws, each followed by another betting round. You may stand pat on any draw. Triple Draw commonly uses fixed-limit betting.
Showdown and variants
Compare hands under 2-7 lowball rules: identify pairs, straights, flushes and other categories first, then compare ranks within a category. Single Draw has only one draw; do not confuse the two sequences.
Rules may vary between platforms, tables and events. This guide explains common rules; available games, eligibility and dispute procedures are determined by the platform's official announcements.
