Evaluate high and low separately
In Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better, high uses standard rankings. A qualifying low has five different ranks, all 8 or below, with Ace low. Straights and flushes do not disqualify this low hand.
Use two hole cards on each side
Both high and low must each use exactly two hole cards and three board cards, but they may use different combinations. Establish the high hand, then check low independently, comparing from the low hand's highest card downward.
How the pot is split
When a qualifying low exists, high and low usually receive half each. If no low qualifies, the best high hand wins the whole pot. One player can win both halves.
If multiple players tie, split each half separately. Odd-chip distribution follows the specific tournament or platform rules.
